Manchester Airports Group joins our transport panel at City Hall, London

All UK airports are increasingly having to compete with other cities worldwide for the business traveller and tourist, therefore plans to improve the 'destination' quality of airports is on the agenda.

Manchester Airport is being re-developed and will see the airport significantly expand and enhance its facilities, improving customer experience and positioning it as the global gateway for the North of England.

There will be a £570 million package of works, increasing Terminal 2's footprint by 150%, significant upgrades to the airport's landscaping and road infrastructure and a new international departure lounge with 50 food, beverage and retail outlets.

Tim is MAG’s Corporate Affairs Director, leading the Group’s public affairs, external communications and CSR teams, and will be explaining more about the airport group's activities on our future transport needs panel in May at City Hall, London, which is part of Future Cities Forum, 'The Making of the Modern City'. MAG also operates London Stansted and East Midlands airports,

Tim has been with MAG since 2013. Prior to that he was a part of Stansted’s senior leadership team with responsibility for economic regulation and long term planning. Tim led the airport’s engagement with the CAA during the recent regulatory review which led to Stansted being de-regulated.

Before joining Stansted in 2011, Tim held a number of positions with BAA, working on a wide range of regulatory, competition and policy issues.
