KPMG joins Future Cities Forum

We are very pleased to welcome Dr Sarah Owen-Vandersluis, Partner and Head of Infrastructure Strategy, KPMG UK, who will be speaking at our next Future Cities Forum, 'The Making of the Modern City' on 8th May at City Hall, London.

Sarah leads KPMG UK's advice to public authorities on the future of infrastructure, with a particular focus on the challenges and opportunities offered by Smart Cities and future mobility. She looks at strategy. implications for infrastructure and services provision and development of business cases for new initiatives including technology partnerships. She has over 15 years experience advising public sector organisations in the UK and overseas.

Prior to joining KPMG, Sarah worked in Strategy and Corporate Development for Ford Motor Company in the US and the UK, where she worked on numerous technology joint ventures. She also lectures for the London School of Economics on new market development and public/private collaboration.

Recently, Sarah has been quoted in the media, calling for a new UK strategy to encourage AV growth. Despite UK consumer acceptance, there is growing awareness that the UK lags behind the Netherlands, Singapore and the US in this area.
