Savills on land value capture at Future Cities Forum


Rory Brooke, Head of Economics at Savills, will join our first discussion panel on 8th May at City Hall, London to talk about land value uplift and capture.

His expertise also covers economic and development impact assessments of infrastructure projects and industrial intensification. He led on work for Transport for London looking at land value uplift associated with historic and future major transport projects including the Jubilee Line extension, Crossrail 1 and 2.

Currently he is advising Manchester City Council assessing the development and value uplift impacts of the High Speed 2 stations at Manchester Piccadilly and Manchester Airport.

He is also leading on work for Highways England estimating the development enabled by and economic benefits of the Oxford Cambridge Expressway proposals.

His work on multi-storey industrial development and intensification includes leading on assessment of the market potential proposals for a multi-storey industrial building for St George and on-going work for the GLA looking at the viability of various formats of industrial intensification.
