Intelligent Cities - Future Cities Forum 9

'Intelligent Cities' will be our 9th Future Cities Forum looking at our increasing reliance on data to determine the planning of our cities and infrastructure, how our governments are moving towards an 'open' policy on data and how data underpins our decisions on directing design of future transport, intelligent homes and offices and the energy systems that power our world.

The forum will gather together councils, architects, planners, technology companies, developers investors and professional services firms, in a morning of debate with panel discussions and individual presentations.

It will be held at White City Place, London, W12 – the new expanding home of media and creative businesses including the BBC, ITV, Yoox, Net A Porter as well as being a new campus for Imperial College London and the Royal College of Art.

It has some of the newest flexible work spaces in the UK designed by Allies and Morrison. Stanhope PLC has been developing White City Place since 2015 – along with partners Mitsui Fudosan and AIMCo – adding to its long term commitment and investment through its Television Centre project into the transformation of this West London hub.

At the White City Place forum we will be looking at the future of new model office workspace and creative hubs mixed with restaurants and retail – and leisure provision. At our forums and round tables we have been debating the need for joined-up transport and housing strategies at both national and local levels, the transformation of transport use through intelligent mobility and behavioural change, and why art and culture has a central role to play in sustaining high streets and city centre retail.

The forum will be filmed and content will be put out on our blogs and in our forum reports.
