Chief Executive of MedCity to speak at our November forum

Future Cities Forum is delighted that Angela Kukula, CEO of MedCity is to speak at our 'Knowledge Cities' event. The discussion forum is being held at Tower Hamlets Town Hall, the site of the original 18th century Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel and will look at how best to grow world class R&D ecosystems. located within urban settings and which connect well to their local communities.


Dr Angela Kukula is the newly appointed Director of Life Sciences at London & Partners and CEO of MedCity, where she leads a team of professionals championing the development of life sciences clusters and districts in London and supporting high growth life sciences companies to make their home in London and to thrive, scale and grow.


Angela has over 10 years experience in the London Life Sciences sector, most recently as Commercial Director at the Chelsea and Westminster hospital and prior to that as Director of Business and Innovation at the Institute of Cancer Research.


She is an internationally recognised technology transfer specialist. She sits on the Board of Oxford University Innovation and is a past chair of PraxisAuril, the UK’s professional body for technology transfer, where she led the merger between PraxisUnico and Auril to create a unified voice for the sector in the UK.


She is also passionate about supporting the next generation of life science leaders through her work as governor of two London secondary schools, one of which is a life sciences specialist academy.


Angela completed her undergraduate Bachelor degree in Biochemistry at the University of Oxford, and her PhD in Molecular Immunology and Genetics at the Institute of Child Health, University of London. Angela also has an MBA specialising in Technology Management, and a LLM in Commercial Law.
