Savills science team expands
Savills has bolstered its Science team with the appointment of Matt Barker, who joins as an associate director at the firm’s Margaret Street head office in London.
Matt has over 13 years’ experience in UK real estate, spending the last four years specialising in life science. He joins from Nan Fung Life Sciences Real Estate, where he focused on leasing strategy, development projects and ESG-led initiatives. Prior to this, he worked at Life Science REIT, gaining extensive experience in portfolio management and collaborated with leading investors and occupiers.
Matt will join the Savills Science team, led by Tom Mellows, where he will focus on leasing, development and occupier representation across the golden triangle of London, Oxford and Cambridge.
As part of his role, he will also work with the company’s wider UK science experts, ranging from capital markets and project management to planning and ESG advisory.
