Trustee roles at Holst Victorian House

The Holst Victorian House in Cheltenham is looking for Trustees who can use their skills and experience to support the legacy of one of Cheltenham’s most famous inhabitants.
The Holst Victorian House is the birthplace of one of Britain’s and Europe’s greatest composers, Gustav Holst. It is a house ‘captured in time’ with authentic period lighting, furnishing, artwork and decorations and illustrates what life was like in a middle-class Victorian home at the time of Holst’s birth in 1874. It is home to several manuscripts and important items such as the piano on which Holst composed his famous suite The Planets.
The organisation says:
'Our mission is “To share the stories of the Holst Victorian House, a period home where composer Gustav Holst was born.”
'As a Trustee you will be used to working in a team and ideally have some leadership or management experience. We are looking for a variety of skills, but particularly in the following areas:
Fundraising;
Marketing and social media;
Building conservation;
Project coordination and management.
'Trustees meet every 6 weeks with ‘hybrid’ meetings available for those not able to attend in person, although candidates living locally would be preferred. Some time commitment is required for projects and tasks between meetings, but we are flexible and align contribution with availability. We will give you:
Induction, familiarisation and training for the role;
Opportunities to make strategic decisions and develop new skills and experiences;
Networking opportunities with senior professionals in the public and private sectors;
Influence to shape innovative projects with local communities and our overall direction;
The chance to broaden our audience and increase awareness of classical music;
