Knight Frank - Global Cities

An estimated four billion people now live in cities according to the Knight Frank, Global Cities - The 2017 Report

- and over sixty per cent of the world's citizens own a smart phone.

This is significant as the author John Snow, Head of Commercial, goes on to explain because fast growing cities are centre stage in the innovation economy 'and it is smartphones, tablets, WiFi and 4G that has enabled the spread of information and the flowering of entrepreneurship'.

The report highlights the demand for both commercial and residential real estate as businesses recruit a new kind of employee - creative, highly educated and part of the iPhone generation, characterised by 'an adaptive, free-thinking mindset'.

Employers should take note John says, 'to lock in those individuals with offices that match workers' lifestyle and commuting needs.
