Virtual technology can save money in construction

How can money be saved in the area of building construction and public realm design? Transport Systems Catapult thinks it has the answer. By using virtual technology it is possible to experience public spaces and the built environment before construction goes ahead thereby saving time and money.

Senior Technologist, Alby Miller will be speaking at our March forum about the ideas and applications behind this innovation. Coming from a background in Aeronautical Engineering, Alby has been developing software for over 15 years. His focus is on visualisation -based software systems built around 3D environments and immersive technologies. Alby has led projects as diverse as BIM model management and federation, the development of ERP and GIS platforms and the creation of city-scale VR environments.

Come to the forum to hear him speak on our construction panel and try out some of the virtual technology in our exhibition area.
