Patrik Schumacher to speak at our Healthy Cities forum in October 2017

We are delighted that Patrik Schumacher, Principal of Zaha-Hadid Architects, will be returning to speak at our Healthy Cities forum on 9th October 2017.

This research event will be held at the Siemens Crystal Building in London's Royal Victoria Docks and will discuss the building of future healthy cities with thoughtfully-designed public realm, smart technology and infrastructure, plus medical innovation and food safety.

Patrik gave a wonderful lecture in March this year for us at The IET, London on the need for architecture to follow the patterns of nature in design. You can see the film of it below this blog.

Zaha-Hadid Architects is currently going from strength to strength. Recently, Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group signed a management contract for a new signature hotel and branded residences in the mixed-use 185 meter tower designed by ZHA in Melbourne, Australia. The move will continue to help the regeneration of the city's central business district.

A new exhibition in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, 'Re-imagining Architecture' this July honours the late Zaha Hadid's legacy of design innovation. it is part of the Kuala Lumpur's Architecture Festival 2017. The exhibition will feature the Vitra Fire Station in Germany and the London 2012 Olympics Aquatics Centre.

Join us for thought provoking debate and showcase studies of healthy city design in October.
