Rescued Banksy enhances creative Shoreditch quarter

We were delighted to hear Jonathan Ellis, Managing Director of Hamilton Court Developments, speak about the work he has supported in restoring a Banksy wall painting for Shoreditch.

He described the process of revealing the painting for the community to enjoy, at our Healthy Cities Forum on 9th October 2018 held at The Crystal, London.

Although Banksy remains controversial for some, councils are now changing their attitude to his work and taking off coverings to his street art.

The Mayor of Hackney, Philip Glanville, was at Jonathan's opening night party to support the work that has taken place to restore 'Snorting Copper'.

Please watch the video clip above of Jonathan explaining how he came across the painting and the journey that has taken place to restore it.
