BAM and Argent: intelligent buildings for agile work-forces
BAM has been helping clients - among them developer Argent at King's Cross London - to create more agile work forces.
We interviewed Andrew Pryke, Managing Director, BAM Design about the interest this company has in artificial intelligence and how it works alongside its clients to create mutual understanding in this area. Please watch our interview above.
The company also advised on one of Google's buildings and it was identified that 'clean air' was its top most priority for employees.
Andrew's current aim is to work with Argent at King's Cross, using AI to develop better working conditions and apps for the benefit of employees. In the long term Andrew says these offices will be more socially acceptable places to work.
Only around 5% of data available from building AI is actually used Andrew says 'but we have the technology to help buildings think for themselves. If we can look more widely at data sets and understand trends and patterns, we can make buildings much more efficient in the future'.
