HOK Architects at Future Cities Forum 9

We are delighted to be welcoming Daniel Hajjar, Managing Principal of the HOK architectural practice - London Studio - back to Future Cities Forum, to speak at our next event at White City Place, London on 3rd July. Daniel spoke at our inaugural forum at RIBA in 2016. See the video below of him speaking at the event with Professor Peter Rees of the Bartlett, Bert Martin of Land Securities and Kate Brown of Grosvenor among others.

Daniel's experience has been in developer-led mixed use developments with a particular focus on the public realm and residential component. Our July forum has a particular focus on this topic as we are running it in The WestWorks studio at the centre of a new work/knowledge hub with surrounding restaurants and attractive public realm. The former BBC Television Centre is next door and now converted into new homes.

Daniel searches for new and innovative ways to design, manage and deliver projects for clients regardless of location and his international experience has been an important asset in the growth of HOK.

HOK's London office is among just a handful of firms pre-approved to assist the GLA's London Architecture and Urbanism Panel (ADUP) on design iniatives in the category of 'Smart-City Strategies, Environmental Design and Sustainability' and to work with TfL on 'Over-Station Development and Transport Infrastructure (Housing) The panel will operate until 2022 as part of the Mayor's Good Growth by Design initiative.

The London office has worked on keynote buildings in the Capital such as The Francis Crick Institute and St Bartholomews Hospital. Further afield HOK's Abu Dhabi 'Yes Arena' has been named Sustainable Building Design of the Year by the World Green Building Council.
