Imperial College's West growth hub
We are delighted that John Anderson, Director of Financial Strategy at Imperial College London will be joining our 3rd July forum 'Intelligent Cities' at White City Place to speak about the creation of a life sciences and technology campus and hub for West London.
John initiated the Imperial White City campus, enabling the College's acquisition of the various land assets and establishing consents for 3 million square feet of mixed use development to date.
This includes the development of the GradPad Post-graduate student accommodation portfolio and ThinkSpace's emerging co-location operation in White City. Companies based there include Precision Robotics and DNAe.
John has played a core role in the evolution of Imperial College's financial strategy since 2000 including the establishment of the College's endowment fund, which now stands at just under half a billion pounds.
He has also run the development of the non-core property portfolio which has grown from £8 million in 2005 to £135 million in 2015. The main objective is to maintain a viable financial strategy for the College to achieve its long term growth ambitions.
