Dash Arts at Future Cities Forum
Founding Director Josephine Burton of Dash Arts will be joining us at our Future Cities Forum in November to be held at Royal Arsenal Woolwich where we will be looking at the role of live performance in the creation of new cultural districts and destinations.
Created in 2005, Dash Arts has emerged as a unique international creative force, producing new theatre, dance, music and art events in collaboration with more than 3000 artists from the UK and abroad.
Dash Arts travels across continents to shed new light on great cultures and creates fresh work through research and development. It has received funding through the Arts Council England's Catalyst Scheme.
The productions are created in collaboration with leading venues and festivals in the UK including the National Theatre, Sadler's Wells and the Royal Shakespeare Company as well as the Edinburgh International Festival, Brighton Festival and further afield Perth Festival Australia. More than 5,500 young people, students and artists have participated.
In December, it is holding an evening looking at the impact left behind by disappearance of cultures highlighting the Jewish culture of Lithuania.
